Submitting an application and deposit indicates your commitment to the project. Each team member is responsible to fund their project either personally or through fundraising. 127 Worldwide is committed to good stewardship and financial integrity and cannot allow a team member to travel who is not fully funded before the project departs. An individual must have raised at least $800 prior to the purchase of airfare. Team members are responsible for all fees incurred on their behalf once airfare is purchased by 127 Worldwide. All project costs are estimations as conditions in-country may change and exchange rates may fluctuate. 127 Worldwide reserves the right to distribute funds in a way that best fulfills the overall goal of the team. All monies received for specific projects will be allocated as deemed appropriate by 127 Worldwide. These monies cannot be managed by a team member or donor once received. All support raised is designated for a specific project, not to an individual person. Additionally, any extra money a team member raises can be used to reimburse other project expenses as listed below (see estimated project costs). If you raised extra funds and you plan to join another 127 Worldwide project within 14 months, contact [email protected] to discuss options for applying extra funds toward your next project. After 30 days any unclaimed funds will be used for other projects or needs and at the discretion of 127 Worldwide. 127 Worldwide is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and donations toward standard project costs are tax deductible. Receipts are mailed to donors before February 1 of the following year. 127 Worldwide will send a receipt for amounts over $100. Receipts for donations less than $100 are available upon request. **You can find the name, address, and amount of your donors’ gifts on your Managed Missions account. Payments that have been mailed in or sent by bank draft will be manually entered by the 127 Worldwide staff. |
